Chris Lowe
Chris Lowe born 4 October 1959Christopher Sean Lowe is an English musician, who, with his colleague Neil Tennant, makes up the successful pop duo, Pet Shop Boys.
He attended the Arnold School (then named Arnold House School), a private school in his home town of Blackpool. Lowe studied architecture at University of Liverpool from 1978. During a work placement in 1981 at a London architectural practice, he designed a staircase for an industrial estate in Milton Keynes. It was at this time that he met Neil Tennant in a hi-fi shop on the King's Road in London.
In 1995 he had a cameo in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. In 1997 his flat featured an in-depth feature in Elle Decoration magazine. Lowe has a passion for Japanese cuisine and recently acquired a minority stake in Japanese noodle bar chain Wagamama according to a report by the venture capital group 3i.
Even before the Pet Shop Boys began touring on a regular basis, Lowe became known for his behaviour of standing still while playing keyboards on stage. In 1995, The Guardian commented that he was 'possibly more famous for not doing anything than almost anyone else in the history of popular entertainment.' He is also known for preferring to wear a selection of hats, sunglasses and other costumes thereby cultivating a distinctive and yet anonymous public persona.He is however an accomplished musician and producer with an impressive catalogue of hit songs co-written with Neil Tennant.
Although Neil Tennant has been openly gay since the early 1990s, Chris Lowe has been more reticent - so his sexuality is a matter of dispute.

Well it would appear that Chris Lowe is that strangest of creatures, the closet heterosexual.
It has never occurred to me that that he was not gay and that that was a reason why the Pet Shop Boys existed. People have always told me that he was gay and I have never seen any evidence to the contrary.
Even NMDB lists his sexuality as a matter of dispute. Odd.
I am a huge fan of the PSB - (actually I am listening to them at the moment) although I am not gay. The one thing I really like about Neil is his dress standard - always so sharp and so professional - although I didnt like seeing him in a tux.

Shelton - I said the exact same thing about PSB from 1987 to 2003. The only thing that changed in 2003 was the "although I am not gay" part.
Chris Lowe is gay, he was in love with Peter Andreas, which Domino Dancing is all about.
He dresses in whigs and was behind Go West, a Village People tribute to gay paradises in San Fran.
